This spring, celebrate some of the best offerings from the Mountain Empire: testing one of the greatest fly fishing rivers in the country, the crystal clear South Holston River; and the fruits of the vine, wines produced in the rich mountain vineyard regions of Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee.

We will launch the weekend, Friday, April 25, with a fly fishing invitational on the South Holston River. Our region boasts a wide variety of fish species and fishable waters, capable of challenging any angler and the desire to tight-line a fly rod. Local guides will provide an action-filled day on the pristine blue ribbon waters of Northeast Tennessee in search of mammoth browns and rainbow trout.

Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, be involved in the fly fishing expo at Bristol Motor Speedway's Hospitality Village. Many local fly shops and guides will showcase what this area has to offer. Leading fly-fishing corporations will exhibit the newest available gear and techniques for landing your favorite species. Attend one of many seminars to improve your fly-fishing skill level, or fly tying techniques. The expo offers something for all ages, including kids-themed fishing events, and wine tastings for more mature guests who wish to sample some of the finest provisions local wineries have to offer.

Thanks to our loyal supporters, Speedway Children's Charities distributed $742,000 to qualified 501-C3 children's agencies in 2013 because of the success of events like Thunder Valley Fly and Wine. Register today and enjoy a weekend of fun!!

See you there,
