For those who are looking to get even more into the Christmas spirit, The Pinnacle Speedway in Lights is now home to a live nativity scene, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

Located in the Christmas Village presented by Eastman Credit Union, the live nativity is the newest addition to one of the most renowned holiday displays in the Southeast. The act celebrates the story of Christ's birth in the town of Bethlehem using an array of live animals from Georgia-based Wildlife Wonders, including a cow, a donkey and a variety of sheep and goats. Numerous local churches are also participating in the nativity by playing Mary and Joseph. There are a few nights where Bristol Motor Speedway is in need of volunteers for the nativity, so interested church groups or organizations are encouraged to contact Betsy Holleman at [email protected].

The nativity runs until Sunday, Dec. 11. Human actors will be on display from 6:30- 7:30 p.m. and families can visit with the animals up until 9 p.m.
