Thank you for your interest in applying for a grant from the Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. As you may know, we are an organization dedicated to helping children improve their quality of life, and through our various events and activities each year, we strive to raise funds and provide grants to non-profit children's organizations in Kentucky, Southwest Ohio and Southeast Indiana.

APPLICATIONS FOR 2018 ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED, AS THE DEADLINE HAS PASSED FOR THE CURRENT YEAR. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR AND CHECK BACK IN THE SPRING OF 2019 FOR THE UPDATED APPLICATION, DEADLINE, ETC.

To apply for a grant, the applicant organization must meet the requirements detailed in the current year's Grant Application. Grants will not be awarded to organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age or national origin. Grants will not be awarded for capital funding projects, construction or remodeling of buildings, vehicle purchases or sponsorship for conferences or events. A more comprehensive list of ineligible categories is provided in the application packet. Please read this list in its entirety prior to completing your application.

Due to the large volume of applications received, Speedway Children's Charities cautions applicants that SCC cannot fulfill every grant request or guarantee full funding of the requested amount. Any application that is not complete when received by Speedway Children's Charities or is postmarked after the current year's deadline will not be accepted or reviewed.

THE 2018 GRANT APPLICATION IS POSTED BELOW AS AN EXAMPLE ONLY, SINCE THIS YEAR'S DEADLINE HAS PASSED.

Each year's updated application is usually posted online in April and must be completed, postmarked and mailed by the end of August. Applications are then pre-screened to determine eligibility and ensure all information has been received for the final review. The Kentucky Chapter Board of Trustees meets in early November to make final decisions on the awarding of grants. Following that meeting, all applicants are notified in writing whether or not their charity will receive funding that year.

Please no phone calls or e-mails during this portion of the process to check the status of your application, as it slows down the process for all who have applied.

SCC will notify every organization who applies for a grant of its decision when it is made. Grants are distributed by Speedway Children's Charities at its annual Night of Giving, a special event for grant recipients at Kentucky Speedway in early December.

Thank you again for your interest in Speedway Children's Charities. We wish you only the best in all your endeavors on behalf of children in our community!
