Speedway Children's Charities golf tournament set for June 2

The Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities will hold its sixth annual golf tournament on Monday, June 2, at The Falls Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas. The tournament will begin with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start and will end with a luncheon and awards ceremony.

Speedway Children's Charities is a non-profit foundation based in Charlotte, N.C., that distributes funds to charities and foundations providing medical, emotional and social services to children in need. All monies raised by the Las Vegas chapter remains in the Las Vegas and southern Nevada region. In 2007, the Las Vegas Chapter distributed more than $314,000 to 67 local charities.
