The Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) has already set the bar high with its gross revenue from both the annual Fundraising Dinner and Charity Clay Shoot. Now, it's time to turn its attention to Saturday, July 8, when Kentucky Speedway will host the 2017 Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts.

Beginning at Noon on July 8, SCC will host the 6th Annual Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction on the Trackside Live Stage in the Display Area, which will be located between Gates 15 and 18. SCC provides the opportunity for bidders to ride in the back of a truck during the Parade Lap prior to that night's race with one of the participating drivers.

The highlight of this year's auction is Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s final ride with SCC at Kentucky Speedway. This is sure to be a crowd-pleaser -- so bid big! Other drivers scheduled to participate and ride with SCC's highest bidders include Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr. and more. SCC will also auction off a race day package that includes garage passes and behind-the-scenes access, as well as several autographed pieces of racing memorabilia.

In addition, the annual Bluegrass Bucket Brigade presented by Seal-Pro will return to Kentucky Speedway on July 8. Local non-profit groups will assist SCC in passing buckets throughout the grandstands and towers to collect donations. Fans are encouraged to drop the change in their pockets in the top of the bucket before passing it to their neighbor.

All proceeds from these fundraisers are awarded to local 501(c)(3) non-profit children's organizations through the Kentucky Chapter's Grant Distribution Program. Further details regarding these events, grant applications, the great work SCC does in our local community and more can be found on the Kentucky Chapter's website at http://kentucky.speedwaycharities.org/.

Help us make a difference in the lives of children in our local area!
