Cars roaring around the race track at Kentucky Speedway this week for NASCAR's Organizational Test has Speedway Children's Charities excited about the upcoming race weekend in July. From our clay shoot to cornhole tournament, Activities Tent to Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction - SCC has something for everyone!

Leading into race weekend, SCC will have its 4th Annual "Pulling for Kids" Charity Clay Shoot presented by The NRA Foundation on Wednesday, July 6. The largest fundraising event of the year for our chapter, the clay shoot marks the beginning of our race festivities. Businesses can purchase a team of four participants for $1,500, upgrade with a sponsorship package, all while knowing their contribution will make a difference in a local child's life.

The following day, SCC's Activities Tent will open near the Main Gate (15) at Kentucky Speedway. From Thursday, July 7 until Saturday, July 9, fans can make a $5 donation to SCC and have the opportunity to play putt-putt or mini basketball for the chance to win a prize and be entered to win that day's grand prize. One grand prize will be awarded each day the tent is open, so make sure you visit us near Gate 15.

On Friday, July 8, Kentucky Raceway Ministries will begin managing our 6th Annual Cornhole Tournament in Kentucky Speedway's Campgrounds. Qualifying Rounds will take place on Friday and Saturday, with the Championship Round occurring on Saturday, July 9. All locations, times and rules are available on this website.

Also on Friday, the 5th Annual Ride of a Lifetime Live Auction will take place at the Display Stage near Gate 12. Fans do NOT need a grandstand ticket for Friday's race in order to take part in the live auction. Registration will open at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, with the live auction beginning at 5:30 p.m. Rides with today's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars will be auctioned off, as well as racing memorabilia and other items. Make sure you're there early because the big-name drivers will be auctioned off first!

Lastly, a new activity for everyone…and you don't even have to leave the comfort of your seat! On Saturday, July 9, SCC's Bluegrass Bucket Brigade will enter the grandstands during the First Caution or on Lap 20, whichever comes first, and will pass blue buckets through the stands to collect donations for children in our local communities. Indiana Tower and Grandstands 3 & 4 will be targeted first, with other areas being included as time permits.

Further details about all of these events and activities can be found on our Events page at http://kentucky.speedwaycharities.org/events/. All net revenue collected from these fundraisers is distributed to non-profit children's organizations in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana through our chapter's Grant Distribution Program at the end of the fiscal year.

On behalf of our Kentucky Chapter Board of Trustees, thank you for your continued support of Speedway Children's Charities. We look forward to seeing you at the race track in July!
